KOTRI: About four coaches of Zakariya Express, which was traveling between Multan and Karachi, derailed on Monday morning near Kotri Railway Station late at night, however all passengers remained safe. According to the authorities, a mechanical problem resulted in the accident. Rescue teams were dispatched immediately after authorities learnt about the news. The track was cleared after around eight hours by the teams concerned. Khyber Express, Khushhal Khan Khattak Express, Bolan Express and Sukkur Express were not permitted to depart from Karachi station until clearance of track. Hazara and Shalimar Express were stopped in Hyderabad and a special Eid train was stopped at Jhang Shahi Station before it reached Faisalabad. Passengers in Karachi had to wait due to the accident.
