LAHORE – A painting competition was held between students of Lahore College University and Kinnaird College under the aegis of Punjab Directorate General Public Relations (DGPR) to highlight importance and benefits of Lahore Orange Line Train through colours.
The students of both the institutions displayed their creative abilities on the boundary wall of the DGPR. Ayesha Babar and Mariam Sajid of Kinnaird College team got first position, Zunaira Sajid and Mahnoor Shafqat of Lahore College for Women University team secured second position while Sharmeen Malik and Zoya Khalid of Kinnaird College team obtained third position.
A cash prize of Rs 10,000 and certificate was given to the team winning first position, Rs 7000 and certificate to the team obtaining second position and Rs 5000 and certificate to the team securing third position. Spokesman Punjab Government spokesman Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri, while addressing prize distribution ceremony, urged students of fine arts to come forward for displaying their creative talent and benefits of Lahore Orange Line Metro Train.
He said students displaying best performance will be patronised. He said such competitions will also be arranged in other districts of the province. Information Secretary Momin Agha, DGPR Jahangir Anwar, officers of the department and students of Lahore College University and Kinnaird College were also present on the occasion.
