CHARSADDA: One person was killed while six others wounded when armed rival groups traded fire over a land dispute, official and local sources said on Friday.
They said the incident took place at Hafiz Jee Qilla in the limits of Khanmai Police Station. One Moezullah was killed while six others identified as Muhammad Ayub, Muhammad Farooq, Ali Khan, Saddam, Abdul Aziz and Amanullah sustained injuries during the fire exchange, according to the police. The injured were taken to District Headquarters Hospital in Charsadda, from where four of the wounded were shifted to Lady Ready Hospital in Peshawar due to their precarious conditions. Police registered separate cases against the accused from both sides and started investigation.
